Andy was born in the family of Chris and Amy Birsak in Cincinnati, Ohio. Went to a Catholic elementary school, he often recalled this period of his life in an interview. Bersak was the target of bullying and ridicule from peers, it was called "emo" and "fag". When Andy wanted to wear green shoes on the sole, his father said, "Do what's right, but you should always stand up for yourself, otherwise nobody will ever love you." The family moved to California in 2005, where in high school, Andy attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA), majored in acting and vocals. In 14 years with friends formed his first band "Biersack" (under this name they spoke only once). Discs with the first recordings Birsak seeded my friends and acquaintances. This "garage band" soon turned into "Black Veil Brides". Throwing training, Andy moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. Andy begins his career as a musician. He took vocal lessons for the improvement and development of voice. In September 2009 Black Veil Brides signed with the independent label StandBy Records. The preparation for a tour and a record began immediately. In December of the same year the band embarked on a U.S. tour titled "On Leather Wings" ("On leather wings"). For the first week it sold over 10,000 copies of their debut album "We Stitch These Wounds" and took the line 36 on the Billboard 200. Second Studio album "Set the World on Fire" was released in 2011 on June 14 via Lava Music/Universal Republic Records.
